Maggie O’Connell started her career in reverse mortgages in 1993 with Household Senior Services, (a division of Household Finance, now HBSC). Household discontinued their Ever Yours program and Maggie went on with Transamerica and worked with their private reverse mortgage programs.
After Transamerica sold to Financial Freedom, Maggie moved to Seattle Mortgage and where she focused on HECM Reverse Mortgages and The Independence Plan.
In July of 2007 Seattle Mortgage sold the reverse mortgage division to Bank of America. At that time, Maggie moved her branch to Seniors Reverse Mortgage. The timing was perfect as the reverse mortgage industry began to expand at that time with a variety of programs, including fixed rate HECM’s and multiple indexes and margins. In March 2010, Maggie moved her branch to American Pacific Mortgage, a nationally recognised Mortgage Banker licensed in 18 states with over 150 branches, to be able to offer a better range of choice to her clients.
